Evangelion: 2.0 You Can (Not) Advance. Yep, I’m doomed.
Hunchback of Notre Dame… Am I Quasimodo or Esmeralda though?
“Clueless.” Which is pretty much already my life so
The last full movie I watched was I’m A Cyborg, But That’s Ok. Soooooo I accidentally almost kill myself by plugging myself into a wall under the delusion that I am a robot? And then get sent to a mental institution? And I have dark hair but scary bleached-out eyebrows? But hey, at least I 1. get serenaded by
in yodel, no less and 2. get to make out with Rain! Also, I have this awesome dream sequence where I go on a killing spree - set to a cheery Viennese waltz - in which bullets come out of my hands. So things can’t be that bad.
The last movies I actually watched - albeit in little clips, and alternating between films - were Funny Face and Ninja Assassin. So on one hand, I am a bookish brunette named Jo who gets to go on a whirlwind trip to Paris and dress up in couture. This is awesome.
And also the story of my junior year abroad. Then on the other hand, I get to be Rain. And all the sexy ninja epicness that ensues. Oh yeah.
Am I a terrible person if I want to break someone’s heart just for the experience of being on the other side?
Also, I’m changing my ringtone to either this or Ring Ding Dong. I can’t decide which is more appropriate - Ring Ding Dong because it’s a phone, or JoJo because that was my nickname as a child.
Today is the feast day of Joan of Arc
really, the anniversary of her burning at the stake and in certain European countries, the feast day of a saint is celebrated almost like a birthday among those who share their name. One of these countries is, of course, France, of which Joan is a patron saint. I learned about her when I was six and my Aunt Ruth came to stay with us she is the one responsible for my Francophilia because of the time she spent in Paris lol. We had to do a report on a famous person, so then I chose Joan of Arc because a. she was French, b. she was cool, and c. her name sounded like mine lol. Coincidentally, this is when I started going to church with a girl named Joan… and since then I’ve been called Joan enough times in my life to celebrate this as my own feast day.
I have to visit this place sometime before I die. With Nick, of course.
